@denzy53 , Denise, Do not drive your car if you suspect the hand/E-brake is on, as the rear brake cylinders could potentially heat up and leak the brake fluid out, leaving vehicle with very little or no braking. The Park brake cables could be seized, retracting springs broken,etc. not allowing hand brake to release fully, also is possible if it is just the park brake light is on that the switch could be faulty or may need adjusted. For your safety have the problem checked, diagnosed sooner then later, by a good local reputable shop and estimate for repair. Good luck.
