Battery Bulge in my iPod Touch 5th Generation?

Ok, I was just wondering if anyone else has seen this but, I have an iPod touch, 5th Generation with (presumably) a swollen battery. Has anyone else had this problem and, what is the best way the remove it?

You will need to replace the battery.

The iPods are trickier to do than iPhones because they require that you do some desoldering/soldering. Oddly, there doesn't seem to be a battery specific guide for the Touch 5 but you can use this guide and follow the instructions until Step 22.

You will need to order a battery.

Be very careful, these Li-ion batteries, especially when swollen, are fire hazards.
