Samsung 64 TV Pix-elates and freezes

My Samsung TV freezes and pix-elates sometimes what's going bad in it and can i repair it i was told it was the mainboard or something else?

It does sound like a main board issue. Before investing $$, do a firmware update and make sure the software is the current version. samsung.com/us/support
