Where is thermostat located on 1999 vw jetta automatic?
having trouble locating exactly where thermostat is to change it

Angel Love, You did not state which engine 4 or 6 cyl., 1st pic. below show's the thermostat housing behind alternator which has been removed. The 2nd pic. is the 6 cyl. and the housing is located on the rear of the cylinder head. Find links below that will show more info. and locations for thermostat. Good luck.
