It will power on but won't lighten up? How do I fix it so it lightens up?

Can you see a picture? Yes, then the backlight isn't working. No and the ribbon cable is damaged or disconnected

Cool, how does the original poster fix this.
Check it for damage or bends. If it can't be unbent to fix it a new inverter or display is needed
