Home button flex cable tear of at button

Been searching high and low for a new problem that came a couple of days ago. A 13 year old girl dropped her iphone and screen was broken, due to not beeing able to pay for new screen straight away she used it for some time. Homebutton not broken, but after a while homebutton started to not work and it came to me. I thought it would just be a faulty connection with the flex cable on screen but the flex cable comming from the button itself was broken cleen of. Is there a way to fix this and have touchID working or is it an Apple job?

Yeah, just ehot i thought too but wanted to get another opinion on it. To bad the touchid info is in the button itself and not on flexcable.

Apple job. No idea how much they would charge. Heard $150. Dunno if that includes the display replacement. Probably not. If you replace the display, Apple won't touch it. If you replace the button. No Touch ID. But for cost for a 13 year old girl. Might be better to not have Touch ID

The trick is to use an original cracked screen before giving it to apple.
