@sueanne1 , Sue, If you are able to disassemble Christmas doll and check that the motor is indeed the problem and not perhaps a stripped gear or possibly out of adjustment. You can then take the motor/gear with you to a good hobby shop and find replacement part perhaps. You could also try a search on the net for replacement part using the make and model of your Doll. Hi,
If the motor hums it may be that the brushes are worn.
Is there a make and model number anywhere on the 'dolls'?
Post some close up pictures back here, perhaps someone may be able to identify them exactly and be of further help.

LPfaff....I get no movement at all ...It hums hobby shop does not know where I would find them ....It very well might be a stripped gear...I will try to open it and see what it looks like. I do appreciate you help in trying to help me I tried to add photos by the page does not allow me to do that ..info on the motor----2.5 ccw/cw AC 120 v 50/60 Hz 5/6 rpm thank you

sue clinto, sorry the hobby shop was of no help, if these Doll's are very sentimental, perhaps try a small appliance repair shop or clock repairer/maker if able as they deal with this type of stuff also and may have leads to replacement parts or will actually do repair.
