Chosen Solution

Hi @bizzy1 ,

Either the digitizer (touchscreen) has a loose connection to the systemboard or it is faulty and it needs to be replaced.

Here is a link to a video that shows how to replace the digitizer in your tablet. It shows how to access the digitizer, which means that you can also check the connection as well.

Here is a link to just one supplier of the digitizer part. It is not a recommendation to use them, it is just shown to give an idea of the price of the part. There are other suppliers that may suit you better. Just search online for RCT 6773W22 digitizer part for results.

In the interim if you wish to still use your tablet, try connecting a USB mouse via an appropriate OTG (On The Go) adapter cable to navigate through the tablet. If you wish to 'type' you can replace the mouse with a USB keyboard, also via the OTG cable. Be aware that not all keyboards will work using this method. Also the battery in the tablet will be discharged quicker as it is supplying the power to the mouse or keyboard.

Hopefully this is of some help

Hi @ WisteriaMoon AJ,

A cracked screen is a very likely reason why the touchscreen is not responding.

Use the Chosen Solution above to replace the touchscreen

So what you supposed to do?

I rested my tablet and my ,still haven't responded

@journeeclay10

If the digitizer still doesn't respond after a factory reset, it is a hardware problem and the digitizer has to be replaced. See the Chosen Solution above for how to do this.

Most are using the volume up and down with no luck getting into the recovery mode. This method doesn't work so do this. There is a reset button on the back, press it once and do not hold. Next hold the volume button down in the center so that it is both trying to turn volume up and down at the same time. Hold it and keep it down until you see the blue recovery screen. If it did not work then do it again the volume up and down button must stay engaged until the boot is completed.

Basically, you want to reset your tablet so, with your tablet off, press and hold the volume up button and the power button at the same time until the RCA logo comes onto your screen then let go, next, use the volume down button to select the wipe date/factory reset, then let it finish, lastly, select “reboot system now”

RCA w101 v2 power the tablet on and let it boot completely. Then hit the reset on the back as it starts to reboot you will see the circles. Do this approximately 3 times at this time you will see it is now scanning to fix dive. Once this is complete you will see it boot into recovery mode.
