Hi,

Left hand front or rear?

Are the fan vents clogged?

Does the laptop shut down of its' own accord?

Here is a link to the service manual for the laptop.

It will help in the dis-assembly of the laptop so that you can check that the fan is OK and not clogged etc. and also to ascertain where the heat is coming from.
