Why am i unable to update my phone from its current version 4.4.2 to say 5.1 or 6.0 . Every time i try via Setting and Wireless update it keeps saying my system is upto date

Are you kidding me! A motherboard issue! No, definitely, definitely a software issue. The motherboard does not control the updates. Software does.

The answer is simple: BLU never released an update for that phone.
