cannot get tablet set up after performing hard reset

Just got this tablet for Christmas and it froze up, so a hard reset was performed using power and volume up keys. Now, we cannot get the tablet set up again because it is saying an account that was previously on this tablet must be entered. There was only one account used and I have all of the information saved in my phone. How can this be remedied?

If it is still under warranty return it to the seller for a refund. The unit is not worth the price.
