What hdd will suit with this?

My hdd on ipod classic late 2009 (160 gb) died and i want buy new on ebay.

QUESTION: will be hdd for ipod 5/6th generation or ipod video classic okay?

The different sized (storage) iPods had different cases to house the larger (thicker) drives. So you'll need to stay with the same sized drive you have now. As an example this drive is 5 mm tall iPod Classic 160 GB (Thin) Hard Drive - Used were as this drive is 8 mm tall iPod Classic 160 GB (Thick) Hard Drive - Used

Frankly, you may want to make the big jump to SSD! Tarkan - iFlash-Dual. Here you can use standard SD cards. Besides you'll extend the run time of your iPod as the SSD's require much less power to run. And, its bounce proof unlike the HD!
