Turnning off by its self

Hi;

I have an older Samsung DLP TV. Model # HL-S5687. For some reason it turns it self off for no apparent reason while watching something. Have you ever heard of this? Can it be fixed?

afbille if it turns itself completely off, check the power board. Could be an issue with the capacitors on that board. Samsung had a run off bad caps with your series TV. Check for any bulging, leaking of the caps. Also, check to make sure that the fans are running. It may turn off due to some heat issues.Of course, you can also post some images of your boards with your question. that way we can see what you see. Use this guide for that.
