Cover over engine will not come off without removing tractor frame.

How do you replace carburetor when the top cover over engine cannot be removed without taking the complete frame apart?

Update (04/12/2017)

I have the Kohler engine . When I remove all the screws that secure the engine shroud, I can only raise it about an inch or two before it hits the top frame of the tractor. Therefore it will not come off until I disassemble that frame. I don't think they would have designed it this way but I see no alternative. Thanks for your responses.

@michael3107 the ZTS7500 comes with Kohler as well as Briggs and Stratton engines (should be a 44P777-0130-P1 or 44P777-0130) so let us know which engine your mower has.

@michael3107 , Michael, I believe on that model, you have to remove the intake manifold with the carburetor attached as an assembly, then you can remove the carburetor from the intake. Watch closely or take pics of how assy comes apart so you can put back in correct order. You can get your engines manual from the links below. Good luck. I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.
