Keys not working, where should I look

Our late 2012 Macbook pro suffered some water damage.

Symptoms were keys appeared stuck, and computer only booted in safe mode.

There was minor corrosion on the keyboard connector to the logic board which I have cleaned as well as I can.

On re-assembly everything works fine except for the 'p' key and the caps lock key.

An external USB keyboard works fine.

Can anyone direct me on likely fix - should I replace the top cover with the keys or i/o board etc.

thanks

Thanks for your quick reply.

I had thought as much. I've been looking at replacement keyboard sub assemblies (new) and used upper cases. I'll try one of them, I guess

Sadly, the keys switch is bad. Not much you can do here but replace the entire keyboard sub assembly. Or, the complete upper case.
