Bluetooth Connectivity lost following software upgrade.

On Sunday my BB told me I had software upgrades to download. I downloaded and then found my phone no longer connects to my vehicle's Bluetooth. How can I fix this?

SOLUTION! And I found the answer myself in desperation.

It seems when a software upgrade is downloaded, the profile of the Blackberry device is altered. Consequently when my vehicle looked for my BB, it could not find it because the profile was changed. So the solution is to de-authorise the BB from the vehicle system and then authorise the BB again. In reloading, the vehicle also reloads the new BB profile and everything is back in operation.

Considering we landed man on the moon more than fifty years ago with less computer grunt than is contained in my BB, it staggers me that such a simple solution to my BB connectivity could not be found anywhere - not even amongst the BB people I spoke to at BB. Little wonder this company has gone down the tubes. Great phones but no support from BB!
