What do I need for a gaming PC?

I want to build something powerful but under $900. I found a processor that is a 3.0 1700 8 core for $330. I can get a 1TB and 16GB for $200.I know I need a motherboard. What else do I need and any recommendations. I am not good with towers so any help would be great.

Well along with that, you need a case, psu, gpu, and mobo. I suggest http://www.pcpartpicker.com for a really awesome site that has lost of peoples builds. You can pick one from there in your budget and make it.
