Thanks for your input Jimfixer.

The widow does not operate from the switch on the driver's door or the rear passenger door.

The window stays down and there is a noise coming from the motor and a clicking noise when I press the close window button. From the info in your email it sounds as though the regulator has gone.

What is a regulator and what is its function in the widow winding process?

Regards Vic

Victor There are a host of things that could cause this problem . The power motor , the regulator , the switch or the wiring . If the window works from one switch but not the other you can guess its the switch or wiring to the switch but if it doesnt work from either I would look to wiring or motor. If there is a hum coming from the motor then it would be the regulator . To find out for sure remove the door skin and test the wiring for power make sure there's power coming to the motor when the switch is activated . With a little more info I could better diagnose the problem . Is there any sound when you do try to use the window? Is the window down and wont come up ?Does it hum or click ?
