Tries to start but will not turn engine
When i try to start , starter tries to engage but engine will not turn over

robertq1 , I you are sure the battery is good and charged 12.4V+, try this, remove the spark plug and try the key, if engine now spins very easily with the plug out, the engine most likely needs valves adjusted because there is a lack of decompression. If engine does not turn over quickly/freely the problem is in the starting circuit, bad/loose/corroded battery connections, weak faulty solenoid/starter, Engine damaged/seized. Thankyou for the insight , Plan on checking the compression tomorrow . This problem started after i parked the lawnmower ..lol. Refused to start ..
