@felix357 that will depend on how old your TV is and if you have any kind of extended warranty on it. To make sure you want to get in touch with LG to find out for sure. Contact address will depend on where you are. LCD damage that is not covered would require you to replace the LCD yourself. Difficulty will be to find a suitable LCD. You will need to do a search with the model number of the panel, not the TV. You can find all that information on a tag on the backside of the LCD. Be aware that a panel, if it can even be found is most likely going to cost more than a new TV.

You'll need to locate a repair service near you to find out if the TV is repairable.

This set if sold here in the states is about $500 US so its questionable if LG offers repairs for it where you live (India?)

While I fully understand the desire to repair Vs replace it might not be possible given whats wrong with it as well as the original cost of the set as the repair costs could be equal or more.

You always advise to buy a new one, this gives a bad name to this product. You must have a cheaper maintenance of the TV accessories.

How so? One TV that fails does not foreshadow a bad product. All it means is 'this' TV's screen is likely more expensive than buying a new TV. Re-read the OP's Q. The screen is smashed!

I bought at the time a very good TV, today a new TV with equal and even better will cost me less than half of what I paid. Thats the rub! The cost for a new TV is dropped that far.

I want to repair in spite of cost of repair equaling cost of new as this si the responsible sustainable way to go!

@vividlaw - Go for it! Most likely you'll need to find a second TV which has the needed part to then transfer to your TV.

Most of the TV companies don't offer parts for sets less than $500~800 USD. To add that they often don't sell to the general public. You'll need to have a repair shop which has an established relationship with the company order the part if they can. And lastly, are you skilled enough to fix your TV? Have the needed tools?

@vividlaw what make and exact model is your TV? What is wrong with it? If it is the LCD panel, what is the exact number for the panel (check the label on the back of the panel)?
