scroll pad does not work

Scroll pad does not work at all. I want to make sure that I only need a new scroll pad and not a new logic board.

Well Ken, I guess that depends on your symptoms. Make sure that your lock button is working. You will see a padlock symbol if it is on at the upper left hand of your display. So make sure it is off.If your click wheel is not responding at all let the battery run down and start the iPod from a wall charger. See if you can reset the iPod. If you have no response from the clickwheel, I'd replace that first. It is relatively inexpensive. Of course I could tell you to put the iPod in Diagnosis mode but you can not get there if your click wheel is unresponsive. Let us know how it goes, good luck.
