This screen that has come up is "The Advanced Startup Options" it is just a menu of tools - it doesn't itself do anything. Choosing one of the available tools from Advanced Startup Options will open that tool or menu.

When Windows 8 or 10 has been shut down and something has happened to keep it from booting will bring up this screen with options. You can choose to start normally by continue or repair start up problems windows 10 has encounter. By uninstalling a program with other programs running some times brakes the start up. It is a weakness of Windows 10. If you choose to continue all may be ok so be happy. If it has trouble you will get the tool screen again. try to do a repair start up. This screen has more options and you can get to the recovery screen and go back to an earlier date when you were operating good.

You can also boot into safe mode which would give you the option of saving your data, mail etc just in case something is broken.

I have had the screen come up and have chosen an option just to have it come up again and tried another option. It can come up if you have removed a virus or root kit which has altered the boot up to include the nasty and now this nasty is not there. Good it is not there but windows 10 needs to repair the start up. Do a search on Advanced Startup Options on a friends computer to learn what you can do then use this tool list to repair your start up. Do not panic and go trying other options like formatting the hard drive, give this tool a chance way before rebuilding your operating system

Hay good luck
