Black screen after dropping it to the ground

Hi there,

Just got in a Samsung galaxy tab s 10.5, everything looks fine with it. The guy who owns it said he dropped it to the ground and after that the lcd is not working anymore.

Screen is good no cracks, but can the LCD be broken anyway?

I open it up and disconnected the power and ribbon cables, connected it again but no picture.

When I turn it on I can hear the start up sound and when I connect it to the computer (win10) it's popping up in the devices list.

What else can be the issue?

No, on the corner

Well, clearly the device works, so I'd replace the screen assembly.

The outer glass doesn't necessarily need to be cracked for the lcd to be damaged.

Probably I have to do that. But then it's cheaper to buy a used one (can't buy new anymore) then to buy a LCD screen and 2 work hours to fix it.
