Before I replaced my battery, my phone will die at 99%. So i had to have my phone plugged in at all times. I replaced the battery on the phone, but now the phone restarts every few minutes. I have tried three different batteries and the same problem occurs. I eventually reverted back to the original battery and the phone works fine while plugged in (no restarts).
any body have any clue.

I'm having the exact same problem with my iPhone 3gs A1303A.
The original battery was at the end of its life and spent the last few weeks plugged in constantly because it would turn off after about 3 seconds of being unplugged.
After receiving a replacement battery I bought on ebay I replaced it, but now my phone is randomly rebooting.
I came across this article confirming that this issue is widespread, does anyone have a workaround?

there are plenty of places selling refurbished/graded apple parts. I bought a battery not so long ago that had been removed from an otherwise not working iphone.
Ok so I just purchased a new batter from iFixit for my wifes iPhone 3GS and it is now exhibiting this same behavior of rebooting every 5 mins or so and will not charge the battery. Has anyone found a fix for this problem?
