Why is my phone not charging?

hey I have a A3 that is less then a year old. I have noticed that the battery over the past couple of weeks has not been keeping a strong charged like it did when I first got it. I know that I haven't been using it as much as I was before (because it cut off), so I know that its not due to over use. I haven't down loaded any thing that would drain the battery (couple of card games) .

however using the phone all the way down to 2% I thought I would charged it over night, only to discover that it wasn't changing at all.

I have changed the leds and that hasn't made any difference, it still didn't charge.

I have reset it many times, cleaned the charging port but nothing!!

can someone please help?

Answer this question I have this problem too

@samuels213 ,Charlene , Battery could be faulty even though not that old but looks like it could be a real pain to change as most of the phone has to be disassembled(link below show's). Reset did not work, either the cable or charge port may be damaged. The battery, cable/charger or charge port may be faulty damaged. Look in the charge port again and blow/pick out(carefully) any dust/debri that may be causing an issue also look in the port for any bent pins and straighten very carefully with a tooth pick. Try a different compatible charger/cord to see if that is the issue. If different compatible charger/cord does not fix and port looks/test good, the battery or connection could be bad, if able to clean battery connections and reconnect/install battery, still not charging battery probably faulty. If port is found to be bad/loose/damaged , this is really not a repair for the inexperienced because the charge port for your device is soldered to the mother board and the heat generated could cause further damage if not very careful. If still under warranty, consider using your warranty for repair/replacement/refund. Good luck. I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.

Try charging from USB port on a computer.Failing that turn off phone and charge normally(seems to bypass update).
