I have the same problem. Paid £320 for the fan and it’s useless

Keep it clean and should be fine, they do require some maintenance if it is in a dusty and fluff environment, get a vacuum cleaner and suck all the dust of the air intake and motor and amp as much as possible or it's that bad use a compressor as suggested before

by

If these are used for heating and cooling, they get moist and the dust collected becomes wet and mud like and glues to the body closing all the vent holes. These can't be cleaned by a vacuum cleaner. It requires disassembling/opening the body of the air multiplier and if possible wash clean the intake holes.

by

Opening the body is not simple, several step needed and some technical know-how.

I just recently bought a Dyson cool fan but it’s not giving me cool air and there’s a smell when I turn it on

loopyshaz222 , Try and disassemble the fan as much as you can and use vacuum/compressed air to blow out all the dust/lint/etc. that may have accumulated from base vents/motor and the loop to help bring back it's efficiency. Links below may help. Good luck.

I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.

All this I have done.

I vacuum every other day.

Fine dust has clung to the inside fan. Thus impeding air flow.
