Airconditioner goes on and off intermittently
The air con in the Toyota HiAce van works about 80% of the time but stops cooling down at odd intervals then comes back on, any body have any ideas

@sportsman1948 ,Chris Gee, Sounds like you may have a small refrigerant leak, when system gets a little low on refrigerant it can have this symptom. Have A/C system checked for leaks, repair if leak found, top up cooling system, stay cool. For a fairly comprehensive guide to troubleshooting A/C problems see the link below. Good luck.

Sounds like the compressor clutch is engaging and disengaging periodically.
