How do I format it?
This device is supposed to record my music and then hook to my goggles so I can swim and listen to my music, but it has never worked.

@leola, Lou, Not all music can be loaded to the Mp3, protected Mp3/WMA/AAC will not work unless converted prior. See video link below on how to operate the FINIS DUO MP3 + Care Guide and a link to your manual. If after reading instruction and setting up correctly still no go and under warranty, return for replacement/refund. Good luck.

Hi,
Are you asking about the Finis SwiMP3 mp3 player? If so, it doesn't record your music, you transfer .mp3 music files from your PC into it via a USB connection.
What happens when you connect it to a USB port on a computer? Is it identified by the PC?
