How can I fix my overly sensitive screen?

I replaced my broken lcd/digitizer screen and now one touch of a letter results in numerous letters instead of just one, making sending a text or putting in a password a nightmare. I tried turning the touch key light duration off, but that did not help at all. I love my phone and do not want to have to get another one, but this is driving me crazy!!

Hi,

I'm wondering if you have to recalibrate the touchscreen using the Motions and Gestures > Gyroscope Calibration option. Even though you may not have them activated it still may be necessary to do this to set up the touchscreen as they state Caution! Excessive shaking or impact to the device may cause unintended results and since you have replaced the LCD/Touchscreen it may be of some relevance.

Here is a link to the user guide for the phone, scroll to p.19 and p.108 for information on how to do this.

You can try going into Accessibility then go to dexterity and lengthen the tap and hold delay. It may help
