Screen sometimes turns black when moving the lid

On my mid 2012 MBP the screen sometimes turns black when moving the lid. So far it always came back on when moving the lid again, but it feels like a broken cable that might go completely. Any suggestions, how to fix? Couldn't find anything in the archive.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Zippie , Use the dismantling guide links below to enable you to take the device apart to check cable condition and reseat to make good connection, if cable is damage you will have to replace if able. The last link may be the replacement cable if needed(verify) before purchase. Good luck.
