broken LCD screen on my E520 camera - is it worth trying to repair?

I accidently set my Olympus Evolt E520 camera down on the LCD screen against a hard surface and cracked the screen . When I turn on the camera, only a bright light appears in the LCD screen area. The menu is not visible, no picture shows up after pressing the shutter release.

The question I have, is this fixable and is it cost effective to do so.

I have also been having some focus problems before this accident.

@hankz the LCD is around $20USD and available at multiple places. This video will get you to the LCD, and this video shows how to replace the LCD itself. Slightly different model, same repair. "is it worth trying?" that will totally depend on your skill and desire to repair this camera.
