Why my laptop keep restarting after I spilled water on the keyboard?

I spilled some water on my laptop (more specifically on my keyboard and the touchpad) and I act quick by turn it upside down and remove the power supply( luckily I didn't attach my battery).

I make sure the laptop is dry after 24 hours and turn it on. Yeayy it turn on. However it kept saying PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. It can even go to advanced recovery. But it doesn't help me getting out of this trouble. Can my laptop be saved and how bad is the damage? Please help me...
