We have an Asus f555LA-AB31, I cannot get it to go past blue start up screen. Says it is unable to do an automatic repair. I tried downloading Backtracker to USB, it seems to find the usb but it will not boot or recover from there either.
Please advise,

What OS is installed?
If Win 10 have you tried booting with a USB recovery disc?
This can be created from any Win 10 PC or laptop. You need an 8GB USB flash drive (4GB will probably do but will be close to full ) and 40-60 minutes of time to create. Go to Control Panel > Recovery find link to create recovery drive.
Boot from USB (change boot order to USB) When in Windows Recovery Environment menu screen select troubleshooting > advanced > repair. Do not select reset as this will reinstall windows and erase all your data.
