Headphone jack repair fix

My headphone jack broke.

Is it part of the logic board, or a part connected to the logic board?

It broke within the 2 year warranty, will Apple repair it?

Yes, Apple will replace the jack under warranty if its still covered.

I'm not sure how the newer models have it secured to the case, hopefully the part is secured by a screw.

To see how its connected to the logic board take a look here: iMac Intel 27" Retina 5K Display Logic Board Replacement jump to Step49. What is not visible in the teardown is the mount point of the part which is just below the cable position on the back case.
