Hi dude...
Note I tried this on tablet, iPhone(ios 7) and Android phone (soft. vers. 5)...all using the same google account.
After un boxing , including opening device, removing plastic film, putting in pot and connecting for first time (succesfully) the app offered to update hardware - the flower care device. After I updated to 2.9... I had your problem and couldn't connect.
HERE is what I did in reverse order:
While connected to bluetooh, the locations on phone enabled and connected to wifi - on the main screen of the mi flower app I deleted the flower - or the bound device so that it is empty and I have to find device again.
The device was placed near the phone with the side with logo facing up.
I saw the light sensor illuminates (bright white) when connecting
What didn't work, after I tried:
Installing Mihome app and adding device there, later to try to connect through flower care app.
Trying to pair on tablet, android phone or iphone to the device outside of miflower app
Changing battery, or leaving it without battery.
HOPE THIS HELPS.
P.S. WOULD SUGGEST NOT UPDATING I N THE FIRST PLACE, BUT IT WAS TOO LATE IN MY CASE
Hi,
Can you see and pair to the Flower Care using another phone at all?
Is your phone's OS Android v4.3 or higher?

Hi @knijo ,
If you have just bought it can you take it back and ask for a new one or try a new one in the shop (since you have the app installed) as this one may be faulty?

Bought on 24/7/2019, installed and everything is ok. Yesterday I ran out of battery. I put a new battery (CR2032 controlled with 2.93volt tester) and it doesn't work anymore. How do you reset ???
