Why is my system not booting up immediately after pressing PWR button?

Hello gents,

I have been curious lately after I changed out my MagSafe from 60w which died, to a 85w unit. My MacBook Pro refuses to boot up immediately when I press the power button, Instead it will just blink the white indicator on the front. I have to press and hold the power button for it to boot up.

Please I need to know what might be the possible issue ?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I would try doing a SMC reset to see if that fixes things, sometimes it will. Heres how: Reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac See if that works.
