Why does my flash continue to fire without being triggered?

As soon as I turn the flash on, as soon as it warms up, it begins to fire. I'm not triggering it, and can't determine if there's any weird interference that's causing it to trip. Really weird! Any help on what Might be causing this problem would be great!

Hi,

Check that you do not have the Repeating Flash option set.

Here is a link to the User guide for the camera. Scroll to p.48 in the manual to see details about the Repeating Flash settings.

Thank you for the suggestion but I don't have it in Repeating Flash mode, it does it in TTL, M etc. I've learned that it's probably a damaged capacitor which I don't know how to fix, so I sent it off for repair. Thanks a lot though!
