Red and Blue Film on back of Digitizer

I'm replacing the screen on my iPhone 6 Plus. On the back of the replacement, there is a red film over a smaller blue film. The blue film has a small tab that sticks out beyond the screen. Are these films supposed to be removed?

Yes, remove the films before final assembly.
