lcd problem or what?

hi there, before a few time an iphone 3g touch got broken. When i got touch for replacement i done the replacement but it wasn't working.. I made many tries with other touches etc and after i made too many tries i connected it to pc and i release that the iphone was out of battery. So it opened. I had to open it again because i didn't used adhesive tape to stick the touch. After i put the tape and the touch in place i have these problems:

1. Iphone is stacking on apple logo and it is not recognized from itunes. It recognize it only in recovery mode. I did recover, flashed it, everything. Always the flash finishes without errors but when the phone goes to apple logo it stucks!

2. The lcd seems to have problem? While it is on apple logo it does that:

and when it passes the apple logo it does that:

is it lcd problem or connection problem? That lcd was working perfectly before the last open to put adhesive

i'd suspect your connections-

1. for the battery which is why it isn't rebooting and isn't recognised by itunes-need to check no 4 and screw near "don't remove"sticker, contacts aren't bent on battery and are contacting motherboard

2. your lcd connection is either damaged/dirty or on incorrectly put on.

when i open the phone, it open normaly and shows the apple logo. When i want to close it, i have to press both home + power for few seconds. In recovery mode the itunes detect it and flash it normally.

I also jailbreaked it with verbose mode and it was processing some lines, but i wasn't enable to see them coz of white screen. If you see the second image on the right, you can hardly see the lines..

so. the phone turns on to apple screen(normal lcd) but then you get white screen is that right?

well, while it's in the apple logo, you can see it, but it make some white grids which moves from bottom to top. After a while or after the screen has to turn to something else, then you get that white and you can hardly see some items on right. I noticed that when i was jailbreaking, i saw very clear the jailbreak logo. After all, i am not an expert but seems like it doesn't make good contact. I tried many times to get out and reconnect the three things (the one of lcd and the two of touch) but no result. So that's the main problem of lcd! Let's focus on that and if we pass that, then we'll speak about the "stacking" on apple logo thing..

try restore or dfu if this happened with jailbreaking. if not then you need a new lcd

Hi Christoforos I am no iPhone expert but I believe that in your case it is the LCD if you ruled out all the connections. The lines I believe are pixel lines and you probably have to replace the LCD. Here is a link where they talk about "ink on the screen" and that what your images look like. http://www.griffinconcepts.com/?cat=repa... .May be some of your adhesive shortens out the LCD. Anyhow, like I said I am no expert but just my thoughts. Good luck.
