Touch Screen Not responding

I recently replaced the battery (Great Teardown Instructions) successfully.

Tablet was working perfectly before changing battery. After re assembly new battery accepted full charge, Tablet opens, But can't sign in because Touch screen not responding.

Took apart again checked all connections, but no change. I did have I small rubber bumper that fell out from some where but could not figure out where it goes.

Any help would be appreciated. Is there any way to test digitizer screen to see if it is the problem or is the only test if it works in the end? LOL

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Looking at the same teardown article you did, it looks like its pretty straight forward. My thought is you may not have replaced the digitizer plug back completely (maybe the cable is not all the way in), or something was damaged when you pried open the tablet.

SW, thanks for the heads up RE: teardown and reassembly. Those were my first thoughts also, so I took it apart once again and took special attention to the plugs and inserting and securing all 3 cables. 2 digitizer and 1 led.

It was working perfectly prior to disassembly just battery was showing signs of not holding a charge, so I replaced it.

Is there any way to actually test the digitizer to see if it is broken or defective, using a multimeter or other testing equipment? Or is the proof in the pudding? if it works or not? LOL
