Can I fit screen from other models to my MacBook?
I have the 15" pro Mid 2009 A1286 and was wondering if I could fit screens from other models or years too?

To add to your answer;
1. If you are swapping the whole lid, follow advice above
2. If you are replacing just a cracked glass screen, all 15" A1286 2008-2012 (non-retina) glass will fit
3. If you are replacing just the LCD (damaged picture), A1286 2008-2012 non-retina glossy LCDs are compatible. If you have the matte version (with silver bezel), you will likely have to use a high resolution matte LCD for A1286.
