Thanks for all your help. Went and tried exactly what you said and it worked. I was able to change the replacement screen and phone turned on as if nothing was wrong.

What do you mean switched the wrong cables? What happens when you plug it into iTunes? The display doesn't even need to be on, just the battery connected. I know this is a freaky thing, don't worry, it'll come back on. We're here to help

I switched the wrong cables on LCD replacement. The 5 cables that attach to the board and then is covered by the plate and 5 screws. The cables were not aligned properly and there are 2 cables very similar in size that were switched.

I tried to plug the phone into the power adapter and still got nothing. I didn't try iTunes but prior to replacing the phone I still had about 40% battery left.

Im starting to think I shortened a fuse.

Ok, Wes. Look at the parts that the cables plug into. Their called sockets, btw. Do any of them seem damaged? There are many pins on those sockets. Do any of the pins look out of order?

by

The both socket and cables look fine. No misalignment as far as I can see. Also I connect the front facing camera cable to the display data socket and the display data cable to the front facing camera socket. I then tried to peer the phone on to test the screen. It wasn't until I didn't get power that I decided to check the cable setting and that when I found that the layout was wrong.

I've mixed them up before too. Check the cables. See how they look. If everything looks fine. Make sure the battery is disconnected. Put the cables in, reconnect the battery. If that doesn't take, plug the phone into charger. Wait a while. If that still doesn't take. Next step is battery
