Why the forklift is Runing idle rough in the morning

I have hyundai 160D-7 with cummins QSB5.9-C thats runs idle rough in the morning , sometimes stops. After about one hour the forklift works fine .

The next day, the same thing happens. Rarely, it works fine for the first time.

we changed all the injector nozzles and the lift pump ,we clean the tank . we changed all the filters.

the engine still runs idle rough in the morning .

I would like to resolve this issue

Do live in cold weather? What type of fuel is your forklift? Gasoline, diesel, propane?

7 degree celsius in the morning 20 degree in afternoon . The forklift uses diesel

That isn't too cold... I thought that it may be because of cold weather, and it may need to warm up before use like a car.

When i turn on the first time it takes time to warm up . In the morning i need more time but once it s ok the forklift works fine even i turn off and after 3 hours i turn on it works perfectly

I would speak with an engineer. Problems like these are often encountered in cars, so I am sure that this is an easy fix. Any problem related to the mechanical part is pretty terrible since you cannot use the machine at all until you are able to fix it. Common problems can be easily fixed if you are working with someone that is capable of doing that

Société Zitouna , Not familiar with the hyundai 160D-7. If fork lift has a diagnostics port use it to retrieve error code to help diagnose the problem. This is something you could try to isolate the problem, if you can unplug one injector at a time to see if miss can be isolated to one cylinder causing issue. Then you can diagnose that cylinder for compression, firing. fuel.etc.. just a thought! Good luck.

The warning lumps turn on .Hyundai team made diagnosis and they require

that i change relay injection pump which i did but still same thing . The forklift runs with low rpm then go up and down by itself then suddenly stop. After about one hour its works fine. We did a second diagnosis and hyundai guy didn t find anything but advice us to change the injection pump.

Société Zitouna, Check all wiring/plugs/installation make sure all clean, undamaged and tight to the relay injection pump. The Hyundai Tech. they should know their stuff, he could be right, the replacement relay injection pump could be faulty and you can return it as faulty if another replacement pump fixes the issue.

Société Zitouna since it does run better after it warms up it is possible that you have an issue with the grid heater. I'd check and possibly replace the air temp sensor on the intake manifold as well as see if the ECM functions properly..

Société Zitouna I'd be very leery about changing the injection pump because "After about one hour its works fine." does not sound right. If the pump is not functioning properly it will not get better with time. I am not saying it is not the pump but I check everything else first. Which warning light comes on?

Warning light . Hyundai don t offer me any warranty if i change the pump

Have you tried doing a compression test and a leak down test to make sure the piston rings aren't worn, or that the valves aren't dirty and not fully sealing until the metal expands?

I didn't do those tests. How can i do those tests ?
