Printerhead Error on HP 8610

Upon changing the printer cartridge on printer, a new error shows "Printerhead appears to be missing, not detected or incorrectly installed"

We have trouble shooted everything, and it seems wrong if this is the end of life for this printer as it is just over 1 year old.

Any ideas or suggestions on what I can do to rememdy the situation?

I have the same printer and the same error, I looked on Ho’s Support website for a fix and no luck. I did have power interruptions recently in my area, by my local(?) utility company.
