MOCA bar on screen

There is a bar on the bottom right hand side of my screen that comes up and says MOCA and 4 bars showing like on a cell phone. This appears on every channel. What is this and what does it mean?

@cshovar that is the indicator for the signal strength of your connection to the TV (MoCA stands for the Multimedia over Coax Alliance) and yes it is very similar to your cellphone displaying the signal strength bars. Apparently MoCA is delivering the same high-speed network connection you get through an Ethernet cable, but delivers it through your existing coaxial cable. Vizio was actually accused of spying on it's customers with that ability to connect. There is a way of turning it off in the settings menu, but then your TV is not quite so smart anymore and you cannot access the app's like Netflix etc. Take a look in your user manual to see if it tells you more about it.

Double click the home icon on top of remote to get to your dish settings, now select settings, now select notifications, now select moca (on/off) to OFF, wait for your setting to save and exit menu/settings, problem solved.

It says. See the signal strength between the Hopper and Joys. Turning it on or off has nothing to do with your signal to the TV, via internet.
