Does it overheat when the car is moving down the road, or does it only overheat when idling? Also, we need to know if the radiator fan is kicking on when the engine heats up. The swooshing sound makes me wonder about the water pump, but we need more information. I assume you purged the coolant system of air after filling by running the engine until fluid circulates and then topping it off? If no fluid was circulating, then I would first look at the thermostat and the water pump. If the radiator fan isn't running, I would check fuses and the fan itself.

claudia launer , Sorry to here your car is having issues. Discontinue driving the vehicle until you can have a good mechanic have a look. When coolant was low, it may have added air to the cooling system causing an air lock which will need bled or it could be a more serious problem like a blown head gasket. You could cause serious internal damage to engine if it keeps overheating. Have a good technician have a look, diagnose and estimate repair. See the overheating troubleshooting vid and guides below. Good luck.
