Phone won't charge after DIY battery replacement

Yesterday I changed the battery on my iPhone 6S myself. A few hours after replacing the battery, I noticed that my phone wouldn't charge. I let the battery drain and charged it overnight, but I woke up to 11% battery on my phone. A few hours later, the phone has died on my and won't turn on at all. If I put my phone on charge I am greeted with a black screen which flashes the white Apple power up screen every 3-5 seconds, but this is as far as I get. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated!

Was the previous battery like drained to flat then no display even while trying to charge it? Sounds like a U2 Tristar charging ic chip gone bad to me.

Do you use a car charger?

Hi Ben,

The previous battery was fine, apart from the fact it would sometimes die at around 20/30% rather than 0%. I use a car charger for around 2 hours everyday as it is the only way that enables me to play music in my car.

Hi,

You could have received a faulty battery, there are a lot of cheap batteries around also, try get another replacement and see if that solves your issue.

If not, it could be tristar damage due to cheap cable usage, even charging in the car can cause this damage sometimes.
