@davidc08 , dsparks001 , Brigg's L-Head opposed twin cylinder, engine cold and springs installed, valve clearance,

Intake spec. .004"-.006" , Exhaust valve .007"-.009"

Turn crankshaft until piston is 1/4” past Top Dead Center, compression stroke, for cylinder being checked. If clearance is less than specified, grind end of valve stem to obtain proper clearance.

If clearance is too much, replace valve or cut valve seat to obtain proper clearance.
