I took my laptop apart to fix my dc power jack and everything seems to be working fine my keyboard light are on so it shows that the keyboard works but whenever I try to type anything the non of my keys work so I can't even type to get into the laptop

The keyboard and backlight have 2 separate cables. Either the cable was severed or dislodged. Here is a disassembly video.

Could be the keyboard ribbon wasn't pushed in far enough? If you plug an external one in does that work OK?
