What is this Airport/Bluetooth Board Antenna for?

Block Image

When I took away my macbook screen I had to de-assembly several parts. When doing so, the antenna I circle in red in the picture broke, when trying to lift it, I accidentally lifted the pin welded to the Airport/Bluetooth Board.

Is there a way to weld it back on? Or should I get a replacement board?

What is that antenna for? Is it for mouse and keyboard? Because my magic mouse isn't working anymore and I think it's because of that antenna.

I'd appreciate the help.

Thanx!

Alex

You'll need to get a new board sadly. Here's the part you'll need: MacBook Pro Unibody (Early 2011 through Mid 2012) Airport/Bluetooth Board - Apple PN 661-5867
